What to Wear and Bring

Dragon boating is a water sport, so you will get wet! Here is how to prepare for your session:
  • Clothing: Lightweight sports clothes that dry quickly (avoid heavy cotton or denim).
  • Footwear: Old runners, water shoes, or sandals with straps that you don't mind getting wet (no thongs or bare feet on the boat).
  • Sun Protection: A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are essential for daytime sessions.
  • Hydration: Bring a full water bottle to take on the boat with you.
  • Dry Clothes: A towel and a change of dry clothes to leave in your car for after the session.
  • Gear Provided: The club will supply you with a paddle and a life jacket (PFD) for your trial.
